Taste the silence on the Utrechtse Heuvelrug

In the vast forests of the Utrechtse Heuvelrug deciduous and coniferous trees grow together. Sometimes you drive down an avenue lined with old beech trees, then you smell that wonderfully fresh pine scent. The ridge is also known for the majestic villas that wealthy merchants built here around 1900 as holiday homes. You will see several on your route. The route also takes you across a very special terrain: that of the former air base Soesterberg. Where once the tires of fighter jets smoked, you can now let the wheels of your steel steed roll. In the beautifully renovated National Military Museum you will find interesting exhibitions with many historical and new weapon systems. At Pannenkoekenhuis Bergzicht you end this beautiful trip with a snack and drink.
