Tour of Culemborg and Kromme Rijnstreek

This route starts in the picturesque Ravenswaaij. From here you cycle along the dike along the floodplains of the Lek. You pass a boundary post here, a former border marker between the county of Culemborg and Buren. After a visit to the historic heart of Culemborg you cross the Lek and the Amsterdam-Rhine Canal. In the Kromme Rijnstreek it is quiet cycling through the vast landscape. You pass through Werkhoven, which enjoys a protected village view. At IJsboerderij Vrederust you can enjoy a fresh farm ice cream at your leisure, after which the route takes you along the edge of the Utrechtse Heuvelrug. In Amerongen you can take a look at the castle, after which you cycle along the Neder-Rijn to Wijk bij Duurstede. Enjoy the historic atmosphere here, before cycling back to Ravenswaaij.
