Tour of Culemborg and Kromme Rijnstreek

This route starts in picturesque Ravenswaaij. From here you cycle over the dike along the floodplains of the Lek. Here you pass a limit pole, a former border marker between the county of Culemborg and Buren. After a visit to the historic heart of Culemborg, you cross the Lek and the Amsterdam-Rhine Canal. In the Kromme Rijnstreek it is quiet cycling through the wide landscape. You pass through Werkhoven, which enjoys a protected village view. At IJsboerderij Vrederust you can enjoy a fresh farmer's ice cream at your leisure, after which the route leads you along the edge of the Utrechtse Heuvelrug. In Amerongen you can take a look at the castle, after which you drive along the Lower Rhine to Wijk bij Duurstede. Enjoy the historic atmosphere here before you cycle back to Ravenswaaij.
