Cycling through the nature around Groesbeek

This route takes you through the varied nature around Groesbeek. First you drive through the connected coniferous forests of the Mookerheide, the Wolfsberg and Heumensoord. These nature reserves are located on the gently sloping slopes of the Lower Rhine Ridge, a moraine that extends from Krefeld, Germany to Nijmegen. Via Berg & Dal and Beek you descend to the Ooijpolder, a vast nature reserve of grasslands and streams. You cross the border with Germany, after which you drive quite a bit through the Duffelt. This is a low-lying region where you can see some old farms on high mounds. You enter the Netherlands again via the Reichswald. South of Groesbeek you cycle past some vineyards. At Hip & Cozy you can enjoy a cozy terrace.
