Tour of Renesse, Serooskerke and Burg-Haamstede

From Renesse you drive through the wide landscape of Schouwen-Duiveland. You can cycle peacefully here, while looking out over the grasslands. Between nodes 82 and 88, the path follows the course of a canal. Further on you cycle around the Prunjepolder: a water-rich nature reserve that is rich in birds. Just past junction 81 you will see the Schelphoek. This creek area was created from one of the largest dike breaches during the flood disaster in 1953. Further on is the Plompetoren, a former church tower from 1468. From the top you have a unique panorama over Schouwen-Duiveland and the Oosterschelde National Park. Boswachterij Westerschouwen is the largest forest in Zeeland. It is suddenly surprisingly quiet here between the trees. Via Burgh-Haamstede and the dunes you cycle to Hotel Renesse.
