100 years of Fleuren Tree Nursery

A century of Fleuren Tree Nursery.

The company's roots are in Baarlo, but since the middle of the last century the company in Koningslust has also been part of the whole.

The location in Koningslust is becoming increasingly important for Fleuren. Over the past year, the cold room has been enlarged and a large workspace has been created to allow work to be moved from Baarlo to Koningslust.

This cycle route has been plotted to show the connection between Baarlo and Koningslust.

You will cycle past fruit tree plots from Fleuren in Kessel and Helden and past trees from our Sakura project in Baarlo. These are ornamental cherries that originate in Japan. The Sakura project was set up in collaboration with Baarlo Leeft and the first trees were planted in 2022.

You will encounter the trees from the Sakura project in the following streets: Middelste Horst, Kasteellaan, Napoleonsbaan Zuid, Raayerveldlaan, Zandberg and Veldstraat.

The cycle route takes you through 3 church villages: Baarlo, Kessel and Helden.
