Description
Marken is a special and colorful peninsula that you can perfectly explore by bike. Admire the wooden houses huddled together in the yards with their white-painted window frames contrasting sharply with the black and green of the rest of the houses. It seems as if time has stood still in this traditional Dutch decor.
Circular walk around Marken
The start and end point of this cycling tour is in the middle of Marken. From here you can follow circular walks via'Rond Marken\\\'. A professional and enthusiastic guide in original costume will then show you around the beautiful wooden houses, through the narrow alleys and over the white drawbridges of Marken. Along the way you will hear all kinds of interesting stories about Marken. Enjoy the ships bobbing in the harbor and the laundry blowing in the wind outside. You automatically imagine yourself in another time.
Along the coast to the lighthouse
Exploring marks from the pedals is of course also possible. From the starting point you cycle through Grotewerf and Rozewerf to the shore of the Markermeer. Then you cycle over bumpy paths along the lake to the lighthouse the Paard van Marken.
