Circular walk Kromme Rijn 11

Along the Kromme Rijn you can take a 29 km walk from Wijk bij Duurstede to Utrecht, which mainly goes over the towpath along the river. That's a tough walk. But you can also divide the entire route into stages and turn it into circular walks. In 2022 it will be 900 years ago that the Kromme Rijn was dammed. A good reason to walk around the Kromme Rijn every month. The eleventh circular walk of 6 km starts at the bicycle shed at walking junction 33, Koningsweg in Bunnik diagonally opposite Mereveldseweg. From junction 33 you walk through the Markiezenbos to the Kromme Rijn. The route continues on the towpath along the Kromme Rijn towards Utrecht and back on the other side along the Kromme Rijn. The last part of the walk you follow the path along the edges of Nieuw Amelisweerd through farmlands and forest back to the starting point.
