Enjoy along the Hollandse IJssel

Moordrecht is the first town you drive through. You will still see many monumental buildings here, such as the Reformed Church from 1657. Then you cycle a bit along the GroenBlauwe zone, a vast nature reserve. You cross the Hollandse IJssel and from the dike you look out over the rippling water and the vast polders. Ideal for getting a breath of fresh air and relaxing. In between you will pass through the picturesque Gouderak. In Ouderkerk aan den IJssel you can also admire some beautiful buildings in the Dorpsstraat and on the IJsseldijk. You can cross the river with a bicycle ferry and cycle through Hitland. In this nature reserve you will find a mix of forest, bird-rich peat meadows, swamps and ditches. The route ends with a delicious meal at Muller&Co Nieuwerkerk.
