Description
When you cycle through the beautiful Peel region, you see the result of centuries of toil. There was once a raised bog area here of up to 30,000 hectares. Now the landscape consists of a mix of arable fields and grasslands and quiet nature reserves. Soon after you get on your bike, you will pass through Grashoek. Then you drive to the authentic village of Helenaveen. You then cycle between the Mariapeel (on the right, located in Limburg) and the Deurnsche Peel (which is located in Brabant). It is wonderfully quiet in the forests of the Steegberg. Just above Maasbree you drive through a well-preserved ash landscape with old fields and many hedges, hedgerows and groves. To enjoy!
