The quiet hinterland of Eibergen

Cycling between Eibergen and the German border is wonderful. Here you drive through a tranquil landscape of meandering streams, hedgerows and forests. You will also pass through Zwilbroek, a border village called Zwillbrock on the German side. Here you will pass the beautiful St. Francis Church from 1720. It is the best preserved Baroque church in Münsterland. Further on you pass through the Krosewicker Grenzwald, a cross-border nature reserve, most of which is located in Germany. The village of Rekken, which is bisected by the Berkel river, is a nice sight. You will see some monumental farms from the nineteenth century. You also cycle past the Piepermolen, a flour mill from 1796. Just before Eibergen you drive through the Kerkloobos. The route ends with a terrace at Hof van Eckberge.
