Castle route Borne and Hengelo

In the former fortified town of Delden you can still discover beautiful remnants of the past. From the Langestraat, for example, take a look at De Kroon (Markt 1), a monumental residential house from 1764. Get off at Landgoed Twickel. You can recognize the farms that belong to the estate by the white shutters with black edges. There is also a castle on the estate, the oldest parts of which date from the mid-sixteenth century. The Noordmolen from 1325 is located on the Oelerbeek. You will also pass Kasteel Grotenhuis, an originally fifteenth-century farm that was once used as a manor house.
