At the beginning of the 20th century, Zottegem had no fewer than thirteen breweries and 200 cafés. Only Crombé, with its Oude Zottegems, continues the brewing tradition today. Anyway find beer lovers in and especially around the Egmontstede will still find something to their liking. Especially in the idyllic Zwalm region, with its centuries-old water mills, you will find unique places to taste the tastiest regional beers.
