Description

Along the Limburgse Maas and the Julianakanaal there are many villages with a rich cultural history. First you drive through Berg aan de Maas. On the other side of the canal you drive via Urmond to Stein. In the beautiful old village centre you see, among other things, the Sint-Martinuskerk. Near the castle you pass an eighteenth-century watermill. In Elsloo you can also fully enjoy the historical atmosphere thanks to the many monuments in the Dorpsstraat. Cycling along the leafy canal bank you reach Geulle aan de Maas. Only the outer bailey remains of the local medieval castle. Via Meers you drive to the last picturesque village on your route: Oud-Urmond.
