Tour of Maastricht and Heuvelland

The route starts in picturesque Eijsden. Here you will pass a castle that originally dates from 1636. There are some beautiful monumental buildings from the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries on the Maas bank. You cycle north, after a few kilometers you reach Maastricht. Here you drive through the Céramique and Wijck districts, among others. You will also see another centuries-old castle in the village of Borgharen. Then you cross the Juliana Canal, which opened in 1935, and drive a bit into the hills. Sometimes it is a bit of a climb, but your effort is rewarded with views of meadows, orchards and forests. You will also pass through some beautiful villages, such as Sint Antoniusbank, Sint Geertruid and Libeek.
