This is the second route of the"Tour of the Netherlands\\\" series. We go from Millingen through the beautiful Millingerwaard. There is another ferry across the Waal at 71 (inquire about sailing times!) We go to the beautifully landscaped tea garden. Then a sandy path follows and through some light obstacles we arrive in Kekerdom. The only church outside the dike in the Netherlands is located here. (See also the information boards) A little way past the Ooypolder, with its many clay pits, we see the bridge and church tower of Nijmegen appear.
In Nijmegen you could view the Waaggebouw or other important buildings. The Waaggebouw is located on the Grote Markt, which is not along the route.
Straight through Nijmegen to Berg en Dal, where you shouldn't be afraid to climb a bit.
Through the quiet landscape to the (new) Thornsche mill. You can read about this on the green strip of the cycle junction sign (66).
We continue our way to Millingen aan de Rijn.
