Cycling through the forests between Bakel and Venray

From Op d\\\'n Kreijtenberg Bed & Breakfast you can take a wooded bike ride. Within a few hundred meters you will enter the Stippelberg. This extensive nature reserve owes its name to the many drifting dunes. You will mainly cycle past fragrant conifers. What is immediately noticeable here: the silence! Ideal to clear your head. Further on you cycle through the Hondsbergse Bossen, after which you visit Overloon. Through the Helderse Bossen and Ballonzuilbossen you cycle to the Limburg esdorp Merselo. Here you can see, among other things, the Nooit Gedacht, a corn mill from 1867. In the Loobeekdal you pass the Weverslose Schans, a farmer's redoubt rebuilt in 2018. Such defenses were intended in the Middle Ages as a refuge from roaming plundering gangs. Via Milheeze you cycle back to Op d\\\'n Kreijtenberg.
