Cycling through the woods between Bakel and Venray

From Op d\\\'n Kreijtenberg Bed & Breakfast you can take a wooded bike ride. Within a few hundred meters you enter the Stippelberg. This extensive nature reserve owes its name to the many drifting dunes. Here you mainly cycle past fragrant conifers. What immediately stands out here: the silence! Ideal to clear your head. Further on you cycle through the Hondsbergse Bossen, after which you visit Overloon. You cycle through the Helderse Bossen and Ballonzuilbossen to the Limburg esdorp Merselo. Here you will see, among other things, the Nooit Gedacht, a flour mill from 1867. In the Loobeekdal you will pass the Weverslose Schans, a farmer's fortress recreated in 2018. In the Middle Ages, such defenses were intended as a refuge from wandering plundering bands. Via Milheeze you drive back to Op d\\\'n Kreijtenberg.
