Cycling through the Peel and Deurne

From Op d\\\'n Kreijtenberg Bed & Breakfast you can take a beautiful bike ride through the Peel. The first part of the route takes you on car-free roads past meadows and fields. Just before junction 26 you pass the Toon Kortooms Park. In the former peat colony of Griendtsveen you can cross the bridge at the Sint-Barbara Church and make a pit stop at Herberg de Morgenstond. The route then takes you through the Mariapeel and Deurnsche Peel: the remainder of what was once a much larger peat area. Helenaveen is also a former peat colony, the town enjoys a protected village view. In Deurne you will come across the cozy market. Here you will see, among other things, the St. Willibrordus Church, which originally dates from the eleventh century. Just before Milheeze you pass the Laurentia, a beautiful flour mill from 1893.
