Description
This route takes you through the vast nature reserves in the Land van Peel & Maas. In the characteristic villages you will find many sights.
Heroic Forests
In Panningen you drive past the striking Church of Our Lady of Seven Sorrows, which was built in 1931. A little later you drive through the Heldense Bossen and the adjacent Boekenderbos. That will be many kilometers of enjoying the natural beauty, the fresh air and the silence! At Centraal Baarlo you can make a stopover with a drink and snack. Further on you will see Huis Oijen, an old castle farm.
Water flower
At IJssalon Clevers Kessel you are welcome In for a refreshment. The village is home to Kasteel Keverberg, a ruin that has been restored in a unique way. From the castle you have a beautiful view over the Maas, the fields and the woods. Further on you pass Waterbloem: a beautiful name for a nature reserve that consists of forest and marshes that are intersected by the Roggelse Beek. A little later you drive through the coniferous forest of the Marisberg. What a beautiful region!
