Description
This route takes you through the extensive nature reserves in the Land van Peel & Maas. You will find many sights in the characteristic villages.
Heroic Forests
In Panningen you drive past the striking Church of Our Lady of the Seven Sorrows, which was built in 1931. A little later you drive through the Heldense Bossen and the adjacent Boekenderbos. That means enjoying the natural beauty, fresh air and silence for many miles! At Centraal Baarlo you make a stopover with a drink and snack. Further on you will see Huis Oijen, an old castle farm.
Water flower
You are welcome at IJssalon Clevers Kessel for a refreshment. Keverberg Castle, a uniquely restored ruin, is located in the village. From the castle you have a beautiful view over the Maas, the fields and the forests. Further on you pass through Waterbloem: a beautiful name for a nature reserve that consists of forest and swamps that are intersected by the Roggelse Beek. A little later you drive through the pine forest of the Marisberg. What a beautiful region!
