Border Round Cycling 57-88 The Hague

Our bike ride along the borders of the Netherlands started as a spontaneous adventure during the corona period. While the world stood still, we discovered how special the Netherlands actually is from the bike. After cycling the Pieterpad in circles, we went looking for a new challenge. The Nederrandpad gave us the idea to map out a route ourselves: 88 laps along the borders of the Netherlands .

With the border as a guideline, we follow the contours of our country, but we also like to be seduced by the charming villages, atmospheric towns and beautiful nature reserves that lie just off the route. This adventure is not just about the kilometers, but especially about the discoveries along the way: hidden gems, unexpected views and the unique atmosphere of each region.

We cycled our first three laps in 2022, and since then the project has grown into a beautiful journey through the Netherlands. On average we cycle 53 km per lap , which amounts to a total distance of approximately 4700 km .

Step by step, or rather, stair by stair, we get to know our own country in a unique way. An adventure without haste, but full of experience! ??????
