Sunset Walk 2022 route from NS station Heino

I walked this route for the Sunset walk 2022 organized by the Hersenstichting. The walk was on the beach in Noordwijk, but I walked it on my own from NS station Heino in Salland. This is the starting point and end point of this 10-kilometer walk.

From the station, walk in the direction of"het Nijenhuis\\\" castle. It is a pity that this is at the beginning of the route, because here is a beautiful sculpture garden with a terrace and a very nice museum (Foundation).

The walk passes in front of the castle on the right and then makes a circumferential movement.

There are some long stretches, but these are not monotonous because you either walk along farm ditches or through woods or past meadows with views.

Most of the route is unpaved. There are paths, but unpaved road, so good walking shoes are recommended.

I completed the walk in 2 hours and 10 minutes, taking regular photos and even making a few videos to keep my sponsors updated.

I will definitely walk this route a few more times myself.

PS. The last part of the walk goes through a residential area of Heino. You will pass the church of Heino on your right, before you turn left again towards the station. Nothing stands in your way to walk in the direction of the church and drink a coffee around the square (center of Heino). There is also an Albert Heijn within walking distance (100 meters from the church).

Finally and not unimportantly:

A few times in the route the navigation voice told me to turn left or right, where it had to be the opposite. So at intersections, make sure that you are also walking in the right direction on the map and do not be misled by the navigation voice.
