Meadow & Haaksbergerveen route

This route takes you past several beautiful spots around Buurse. From the starting point, Eetcafé Winkelman, you will be guided along the Elderinkshave estate, which is open to the public. Then you walk through Siberia towards the Haaksbergerveen. The Haaksbergerveen is one of the most beautiful and rarest raised moor areas in the Netherlands. The large herd of sheep and the Hereford cattle, which keep the heath vital, are special in Haaksbergerveen. Via this road you walk back towards Buurse where you will end up at the end point, Eetcafé Winkelman, where you can enjoy a snack and drink. This route is also great for cycling.
