Description
The route via the Bentwoud takes you to the village of Waddinxveen. There you follow part of the water"de Gouwe\\\" to Hefbrug Boskoop, a national monument from 1936. Just before that you will find IJssalon Janssen, which has 30 different flavors of ice cream and is well-known in Boskoop and the surrounding area. Via country roads and dikes you will arrive in Oud-Reeuwijk. Under the Rijksweg A12 you go onto the Oudeweg, which drives straight through the Reeuwijkse plassen. There are many photo opportunities here. Via the village of Sluipwijk you return to Reeuwijk from where you enter the village of Waddinxveen via Reeuwijk Dorp via the Hefbrug van Waddinxveen. You drive over the Dorpstraat where a visit to the Oude Dorp is worthwhile for an ice cream if you did not do that in Boskoop. Here you have another chance to taste the famous ice cream from Janssen. Via the Onderweg you will then return to Sunnyrides.
