Noordwijk, South Holland, The Netherlands
Cycling route: 3505196
Provided by: Groots Genieten
First you cycle along the Oosterduinse Meer recreation area. Between junctions 48 and 40 you look out over the Lageveense Polder with its moist, flowery grasslands. In Lisse you pass several beautiful monumental buildings. The partly white plastered Reformed Church dates from the fifteenth century, further on is the Sint-Agathakerk from 1903 with a beautiful adjacent parsonage. You cycle through a marsh area to Hillegom. Here you can take a look at the Hof van Hillegom. This originally fifteenth-century country estate is now in use as a town hall. The Maartenskerk originally dates from the thirteenth century, but was largely rebuilt in 1929. The last part of the route takes you along the Noorder Leidsevaart and a bit through the dunes.
