Border Round Cycling 23-88 Venray

Our cycling trip along the Dutch borders began as a spontaneous adventure during the coronavirus pandemic. While the world stood still, we discovered how special the Netherlands truly is from the saddle of a bicycle. After cycling the Pieterpad in circles, we set out to find a new challenge. The Nederrandpad gave us the idea to create our own route: 88 loops along the Dutch borders .

Using the border as our guide, we'll follow the contours of our country, but we'll also be seduced by the charming villages, charming towns, and stunning nature reserves just off the route. This adventure isn't just about the kilometers, but especially about the discoveries along the way: hidden gems, unexpected views, and the unique atmosphere of each region.

We cycled our first three laps in 2022, and since then, the project has grown into a wonderful journey through the Netherlands. We averaged 53 km per lap , which amounts to a total distance of approximately 4700 km .

Step by step, or rather, stair by stair, we're getting to know our own country in a unique way. An adventure without haste, but full of experiences!
