Description
In Dordrecht - the oldest city in Holland - history is there for the taking. Monumental warehouses, harbors with old sailing ships and a mighty riverfront recall the prosperity of yesteryear. The city is located on an island surrounded by rivers on all sides. From the bicycle, traces of the devastating St. Elisabeth flood of 1421 can be seen everywhere, when the Biesbosch was created and the water lapped up to the city walls of Dordrecht.
