Tour through the woods around Chaam

It is beautiful to cycle through nature around Chaam. First you drive through the Chaamse Bossen. This was once a rugged area with sand drifts and wet heathland, but now you cycle past flower-rich grasslands and fragrant Scots pines. From junction 30 you drive over the Bels Lijntje, the former route of the rail connection between Turnhout and Tilburg. Then it's time to go border hopping: nowhere is this as easy (and sustainable) as in Baarle-Nassau. In the Strijbeekse Heide nature reserve it is wonderfully peaceful to cycle through the pine forest. You pass the Langven, which is located in an extensive wet heathland. Finally, you drive through the Sint-Annabos, one of the centuries-old forests that are part of the Barony of Breda. The route ends with a terrace at Wilgenhart.
