Your route starts at Hotel Cafe Restaurant Prinsen. You cycle through a lovely green scenic landscape to Kastelendorp Vorden. Kieftskamp Castle is surrounded by an extensive estate, which is publicly accessible. It was named after the lapwing, which used to be common here. Vorden Castle is located in a fairytale park forest with streams. Behind the coach house you will find a beautiful vegetable garden called the Hof van Hackfort. De Hoop flour mill in Vorden was built in 1850. After a long standstill, the mill was restored in 2005 and made ready for milling. Grain is now milled on a voluntary basis. Via Barchem you cycle to the Lebbenbrugge Farm Museum, a nice place to get off. You drive back along the edge of Borculo, where you can also sample the atmosphere!
