Walking near Soerendonk

Just outside Soerendonk you can go for a lovely walk in the Kempen nature. This relatively short route offers you a lot of variety, because you walk through forest, heath and through a quiet stream valley. An ideal trip to combine with a sunny terrace.

The heath
From this location you immediately walk into De Heide, a dry nature reserve where mainly coniferous trees grow. It is wonderful to walk between the fragrant Scots pines. Here is also the Putberg, a small elevation in the middle of a heath.

Striper A
You can easily walk between the meadows and fields towards the valley of the Strijper Aa. You walk a bit downstream along this babbling brook. On one side are the forests of the swampy nature reserve the Soerendonks Goor. On the other side you see hay meadows and further on the horizon the two towers of the church in Soerendonk. In this stream valley it seems as if you are going back a century in time, it is so beautiful and quiet here.
