Walking near Soerendonk

Just outside Soerendonk you can enjoy a lovely walk in the Kempen nature. This relatively short route offers you a lot of variety, because you walk through forest, heath and through a tranquil stream valley. An ideal trip to combine with a sunny terrace.

The heath
From this location you immediately walk into De Heide, a dry nature reserve where mainly conifers grow. It is wonderful to walk through the fragrant Scots pines. The Putberg is also located here, a small elevation in the middle of a heathland.

Strijper Aa
You can walk leisurely between the meadows and fields towards the valley of the Strijper Aa. You walk a bit downstream along this babbling stream. On one side are the forests of the swampy nature reserve Soerendonks Goor. On the other side you see hay fields and further on the horizon the two towers of the church in Soerendonk. In this stream valley it seems as if you have gone back a century in time, it is so beautiful and quiet here.
