Tour of Salland: Hellendoornse, Archemer- and Lemelerberg

From your starting point you cycle beautifully through the woods on the flanks of the Hellendoornse Berg. This 40 mound is named after the village just east of it. The Hellendoornse Berg is located in the larger nature reserve the Sallandse Heuvelrug, but is not officially part of this national park. Via the village of Luttenberg you cycle to Restaurant De Veldhoek for a cup of coffee or a tasty lunch. Then you drive into the Archemer- and Lemelerberg nature reserve. You are swallowed up by the forests, you also cycle past some heathlands. How wonderfully quiet it is here! Near junction 71 you can leave the road on the left to walk up the Lemelerberg, the top is almost 48 meters high. Here is Monument Park 1813: a statue of a lion.
