You'll also cycle through the coniferous forests of the Kattenvennen, one of the gateways to the Hoge Kempen National Park. At the heart of this area stands the striking Cosmodrome with its giant star-shaped globe. At C-mine, the former Winterslag mining site, Genk's industrial past comes to life. Climb the headframe for an impressive view. At the Bokrijk Open-Air Museum, you'll experience how people lived in the past in more than a hundred historic buildings. Bilzen also breathes history, with its town hall dating from 1685 and the fifteenth-century St. Maurice Church.
