The Vallee du Lot cycling route

From the Vallee du Lot cycle route between Bordeaux and Agen, through the lush orchards of the Lot-et-Garonne and the elegant vineyards of the Lot, it is just a short walk to the Canal des 2 Mers cycle route. On your journey of discovery along the winding paths, be inspired by the many authentic villages that are peacefully hidden in the bends of the river. The current route ends in Cahors, a fascinating city on the St. James' Route to Santiago de Compostela with the tourist label"Art & Histoire\\\". The future extension of the route to the Lot source is on the agenda. Allow two to three days for this surprising bike tour.

The Vallee du Lot cycle route is fully signposted. The bicycle signs say "La Vallee du Lot a velo" with arrows.

Trains and buses along the Vallee du Lot cycle route

There are many trains along this route, but beware... during rush hour it may be difficult to take your bike on the regional TER.

• Aiguillon station: many train connections with Bordeaux, Agen, Toulouse.
• Monsempron-Libos station: Regional TER Perigueux-Agen and train connections with Bordeaux and Toulouse via Agen. There is also a TER bus to Cahors.
• Cahors station: regional TER to Toulouse. Intercity to Paris-Austerlitz.
