This cycle path through the Loir valley starts between Beauce and Perche at the source of the Loir (not to be confused with the Loire) and takes you to the banks of the Loire. During this colorful cycling adventure you follow the tributary of the Sarthe through the rolling hills ... while cycling you will discover a beautiful mosaic of diverse landscapes in which wheat fields, vineyards and orchards alternate. Still parallel to the Loir, you pass through pretty villages and past unique, prehistoric cave dwellings, carved out of porous limestone! In the Sarthe department, the route continues past lakes and green meadows to Le Lude with its Renaissance castle and French gardens. Then the car-free"voie verte\\\" bike path takes you to La Fleche and Angers.
By road: 257.88 km Cycle path: 36.42 km
