Ferry route through the Gendtse polder

During this bike tour you will cross no fewer than three rivers by ferry. For example, on the route you are the first to cross the Waal, the second to cross the Pannerdensch Canal and lastly the Rhine. You start the cycling route at Waalstrand Camping in Gendt. This campsite is located in the middle of the Gelderse Poort nature reserve, where you can enjoy walking and cycling in the floodplains. There is a good chance that you will encounter Galloway cows and Royal horses. More and more bank land in the Gelderse Poort is being returned to the river, creating a special new nature. Puddles, swamps and rough bushes appear everywhere. A paradise for fish, birds and insects. Via Bemmel you cycle towards Pannerden, Millingen aan de Rijn and you ultimately end the route in Gendt at Waalstrand Camping.
