Oisterwijk, North Brabant, The Netherlands
Hiking route: 344832
Provided by: route.nl
Your route starts at Restaurant Speijck. The Oisterwijk forests are known for their vastness and many fens. Many of the conifers were planted here to be used later in the Limburg mines. Now the forest is an ideal and varied area for a walk. Oisterwijk itself is also a nice place to look around. You will pass the Sint-Petruskerk, a neo-Gothic cruciform basilica from 1897 designed by Pierre Cuypers. The area around the church is so beautiful that it has been declared a protected village view. The route takes you past a nice address for a stopover: Meneer van Eick. Nearby you will discover the Klein and Groot Aderven. These were created by wind erosion, which can be seen from the west-southwest location of the fens.
Below you will find various suggestions for breaks that you can visit during your route. These are divided into different categories, making it easy for you to choose.
