Your route starts at Brasserie Matt's on the Kagerplassen. Noordwijkerhout is a nice place to enjoy a drink on a terrace. Here you see the White Church from 1300. Just outside Noordwijkerhout you pass Lake Como, as the Oosterduinse Meer recreation area is called by the locals. Further west you cycle through the forests of the Hollands Duin. In the background you occasionally hear the surf of the North Sea, a wonderful sound. In the Bulb Region it is sometimes like cycling through a painting. Spring is heralded here with the blooming of crocuses, after which tulips, daffodils and hyacinths give the area a beautiful hue. Gladiolus, dahlias and carnations provide a colorful late summer. The route also passes the Keukenhof.
