Discover Hollands Duin

This cycling route starts at Beach Pavilion Zee en Zon. From here you cycle through the Hollands Duin, which extends from Noordwijk all the way to Scheveningen. You drive through a mosaic of sheltered forests, open plains and wet dune valleys. From the high dune tops you have beautiful views of the bulb fields, the beach and the North Sea. There are a few beautiful monuments in Noordwijkerhout, such as the Witte Kerkje from 1300. In 1508 a Gothic choir was added and the tower was raised. Noordwijk may be known as a seaside resort, but in the old center special monuments bear witness to a rich history. Especially in the Voorstraat you will see many centuries-old buildings, ranging from simple houses to mansions. One of the oldest buildings in Noordwijk is the Gothic Oude Jeroenskerk from the fifteenth century.
