Tour of Sneek and the Sneekermeer

Terherne (or Terhorne) is located on the corner of a reclaimed land from the twelfth century. The children's book series De Kameleon is said to have been set here. You drive a bit along the Sneekermeer. Get a breath of fresh air while looking out over waving reeds and the rippling water. In Goingarijp you can admire the church building from 1770, which has a bell tower next to it. At the Langweerderwielen you pass the Sweachmermolen from 1782. Langweer enjoys a protected village view. Until 1856, this beautiful sailing village was only accessible by water. At Hotel & Restaurant Stadsherberg Sneek you can enjoy something tasty. The old center of Sneek also enjoys a protected cityscape. There are many old mansions on the Kleinzand, some of which were built around 1790 in the Louis XVI style.
