Tour of quiet places in the Randstad

At Nieuwkoop you can enjoy glittering lakes and cozy old towns. The oldest part of Nieuwkoop is located along the water. The hamlet of Woerdense Verlaat was built near the lock in the Grecht, which was built in 1448. Here you see the Westveense Molen, a polder mill from 1676. Kamerik originated as a ribbon village along the Kamerikse Wetering, a twelfth-century waterway that was dug to develop this area. You will see beautiful monumental buildings along the waterway.
