Walking in Central Limburg

Want to take a beautiful walk in Limburg? You don't necessarily have to go down to the hills for that. You can also enjoy natural beauty in Central Limburg. And because this area has not yet been demolished, it is remarkably quiet. From Recreatiepark de Leistert you can walk straight into nature. It is wonderfully peaceful to walk in this sparsely populated area. In the beginning you walk past meadows and fields. After a few kilometers you walk into the conifer and poplar forests just below the Brookberg. In the Ophovense Zandberg nature reserve you can walk between coniferous and deciduous trees. Here and there are grassed heathlands where peat fluff grows. Here too you can enjoy the Limburg silence on the sandy paths. And the fresh air. The route ends at Recreatiepark de Leistert where you can enjoy a carefree holiday.
