Cycling for hours across the Veluwe

On the Veluwe you will find the vast forests and heathlands that you dream of as a cyclist. This route also takes you along several cultural-historical hotspots. You will cycle for a long time through the forests of the Royal Houtvesterij Het Loo, the largest contiguous forest area in the Netherlands. Long avenues with tall deciduous trees alternate with winding paths and sudden open heathlands. This area is extremely quiet. The rolling Stakenbergse- and Elspeetse Heide are a remnant of the immense heathland that once covered this part of the Veluwe. Take a break at Dorpsherberg de Roskam in Nunspeet! At the edge of the forest you will pass the Wenumse Molen, a beautiful fourteenth-century water mill on the Wenumse Beek. It served as a corn mill, but also as a copper mill.
