Description
Cycling through the grasslands and nature reserves in Drenthe may be wonderful, but centuries ago the province looked like an almost impenetrable swamp. The Bargerveen is a unique remnant of this old raised bog, where you will find special plants and animals. Moreover, the silence here, in the far southeastern corner of Drenthe, is deafening. In Twist, Germany, you can see the Heimathaus, a characteristic Emsland farm, at Flensbergstrasse 11.
