Nice cycling through the Liemers

De Liemers is an ideal region for a refreshing day out by bike: you ride through a mosaic of forests, vast fields, meadows and hedgerows. Below Wehl you pass through Plakslag, a former heath that was reclaimed. You cycle between a mix of fragrant coniferous and deciduous trees. You also cycle through the Bergherbos, from afar this sloping forest already stretches out on the horizon. In this region you can see beautiful buildings here and there that bear witness to a long history, such as Landgoed Bingerden. With origins dating back to the tenth century, this is one of the oldest preserved country estates in the Netherlands.
