Round Ootmarsum and the Dinkelland

After a night's sleep at Group accommodation De Schure & Group accommodation, you can hop on your bike. First you cycle through the Springendal, a picturesque nature reserve that is also called the'Garden of the Netherlands\\\'. The Dinkelland is a region in the east of Twente where cycling is fantastic. You drive through an old ash landscape, through beautiful nature reserves and of course through the picturesque Ootmarsum. This is one of the most beautiful towns in Twente. One of the first Twente churches was built here around 770. The town had a flourishing trade during the Middle Ages, but industrialization passed by. And you can see that: Ootmarsum has managed to retain its historic character. You can see the Mill of Oude Hengel, a corn mill from 1872.
