Tour of Ootmarsum and the Dinkelland

After a night's sleep at Group accommodation De Schure & Group accommodation, you jump on your bike. First, you cycle through the Springendal, a picturesque nature reserve that is also called the 'Garden of the Netherlands'. The Dinkelland is a region in the east of Twente where cycling is fantastic. You cycle through an old esland landscape, through beautiful nature reserves and of course through the picturesque Ootmarsum. This is one of the most beautiful towns in Twente. One of the first Twente churches was built here around 770. The town had a flourishing trade during the Middle Ages, but saw industrialization pass it by. And that is what you see: Ootmarsum has managed to retain its historical character. You can see the Molen van Oude Hengel, a corn mill from 1872.
