In the Achterhoek you will still find ancient cultural landscapes, babbling brooks and beautiful old farms and mills. This route takes you through the green surroundings of Aalten, Dinxperlo and the German Bocholt.
In the village of Aalten you can see the rich history reflected in the beautiful buildings. The core around the old market therefore enjoys a protected village view. Just east of Aalten you drive through Walfort. This old estate is bisected by the brook the Boven-Slinge, on the water there is still a manor from the fifteenth century. A little further on you pass through the Loohuis, an old farm landscape that consists of meadows, hedgerows and Scots pines that are more than a hundred years old.
You hardly notice it, but from Suderwick in Germany you suddenly drive into Dinxperlo, which is glued to the border. A great opportunity to view this nationally famous village from the saddle. You will pass two old flour mills: De Teunismolen from 1822 and the Wenninkmolen from 1860. After this beautiful long route through the scenic landscape of the Achterhoek you can enjoy a meal in Restaurant Herbergh d\\\'Olde Marckt food and drink.
