Cycling in South Limburg: Gulpen, Slenaken and Mesch

Explore the beautiful rolling hills of South Limburg and let yourself be carried away by the Voer region! Your route starts at Hotel de Plank. First you cycle to Ulvend, a picturesque hamlet located exactly on the border of the Netherlands and Belgium. The next part of the route takes you through the Voerstreek, the Flemish enclave in Wallonia. You cycle through the picturesque villages of Sint-Martens-Voeren and's-Gravenvoer. They owe their name to the Voer, a small river that meanders through the valley. In Libeek you will pass a castle farm with the same name. Its origins date back to the 13th century, when it was still a castle with a moat around it. In beautiful Mheer you can see the seventeenth-century St. Lambertus Church, with the fourteenth-century Mheer Castle behind it.
