Come and watch birds in Eemland

From March to June the polders of Eemland are teeming with meadow birds. The swampy polders with flowery grassland are ideal for raising their young. But not all birds stay, some species use Eemland to rest or eat on their long journey south or north. In autumn and winter it is anything but boring, when other species of birds, such as geese, visit the polders.

So get on your bike and don't forget your binoculars!

Highlights

• Bird Boulevard Eemland on the Krachtwijkerweg: you discover that Eemland is important on a global scale and see where birds have come from and where they leave. Up close you can see birds courting, breeding and raising their young.
• Sand Martin Wall Bunschoten: from behind the viewing screen you can see the sand martin parents flying back and forth to feed their young. They dig a long tunnel in the wall with a nest cavity at the end. Who knows, you might see the little swallows waiting impatiently for their parents at the beginning.
• Vogelboulevard Eemland on the Maatweg: with knowledge of the birds that live around our farms.

Together with the Vogelboulevard Eemland West Cycle Route (337868), you can make a tour of almost 50 km. Except on Sundays, this route can be shortened by taking the ferry at Eembrugge (cross through cycle junction 25 <> 11).

The cycling routes start at Carpoolplaats Eembrugge along the A1.
