Route through Heuvelland around Maastricht

Hill route.

Start in the valley of the ENCI Quarry at the Chalet d\\\'n Observant.

We're going uphill right away at the Devil's Cave.

Unfortunately due to danger of collapse not accessible.

Start walking uphill again through a butterfly area.

Walk along the ruin of the Castert farm 

Go over the Montagne Sant Pierre, so the Walloon part.

And descend towards Kanne where there is also a break.

Then go via the Muizenberg -Cannerbos - above Neer Kanne Castle..

Go via the Jesuit path through the Jeker valley and then go uphill again via the water rapids of the Jeker towards Louwberg and Apostel farm.

Descend the Louwberg to the Campagne mountain again via the off-leash dog area

to go up.

descend and pause at Café Sint Servaes.

Walk through the Jekerdal and the watermill back to St. Pietersberg

 which we enter, turn left to the lookout of the Eagle Owl Valley and then walk left  and towards Fort  .

At the Fort we go down the stairs and cross Chalet Bergrust and walk via the eastern flank of the mountain through the meadow to the Zonneberg road

Go up again via the Zonneberg road, walk straight ahead and go left to take a look at the new lookout post above the ENCI quarry

and if the 40 meter long staircase is open, go down to go through the ENCI quarry towards the Chalet.

If the stairs are not open, we walk back .. turn right and straight on to the lookout post of the Ruïne Lichtenberg then we go back for a while and descend via the Queen's footpath on the right and  via the outdoor residence of Slavante  down the mountain and along the Maasrechts

to the Chalet.d\\\'Observant where we can enjoy a drink / snack and talk about this walk.
