Your route starts at Restaurant van Hal. A little further on you will pass Kasteel Anholt. The origins of the impressive moated castle date back to the twelfth century. A museum has been opened in the castle. Here you will find the largest private collection of paintings in North Rhine-Westphalia, including Dutch masters such as Rembrandt. Also take a look at the Anholter Schweiz, the landscape park that belongs to Kasteel Anholt. The second highlight of this route is Kasteel Huis Bergh. The fortress from the thirteenth century is half enclosed by a rampart and moat. The city of 's Heerenberg had the privilege of minting coins since the Middle Ages. Along the flank of the Galgeberg you drive to Zeddam and further to Ulft. Here you will see the DRU Factory, an old iron foundry
