Cycling route Doetinchem, Gendringen and Terborg

From the starting point you drive to Landgoed Slangenburg. Here you see a mix of forests and cultivated lands. In spring the blooming rhododendrons are a feast for the eyes. The avenue system is unique to the Netherlands because of its scale and authenticity. The Achterhoek scenic landscape makes it nice and quiet to cycle on car-free roads. In Gendringen you can regain strength with a delicious meal at Cafetaria Te Pas. When you cycle out of the village, you will pass the beautiful fifteenth-century St. Martin's Church. You drive north along the Oude IJssel. In Silvolde you will see the Old Mauritius Church that originally dates from 1100. Further on you pass through Terborg, another beautiful old town. Finally, you drive through Doetinchem. On the edge of the city you pass Kasteel de Kelder.
