Walk Buskersbos and Brinkheurne

South of Winterswijk you will walk through a coulisse landscape of fields, grasslands, forests and lanes. Part of the route you will walk on unpaved paths, so make sure you wear sturdy shoes. From junction Z87 you will walk a bit along the Boven-Slinge. Next to this stream you will walk through the Buskersbos, a small-scale nature reserve where medlar, bird cherry and ash grow. In the spring the ground is white with wood anemones. Then you will make a round around the Stemerdinkbos. Here and there you will walk past Saxon farms. On the Slingeweg you will pass a former schoolmaster's house (the Meistershoes). A few meters further on there is a replica of the school pump on the square. Finally you will come across Landgoed Den Schooten. At Restaurant De Gulle Smid it is time for a delicious meal.
