Walk Buskersbos and Brinkheurne

South of Winterswijk you take a walk through a scenic landscape of fields, grasslands, forests and avenues. Part of the route will be on unpaved paths, so make sure you wear sturdy shoes. From junction Z87 you walk along the Boven-Slinge for a while. Next to this stream you walk through the Buskersbos, a small-scale nature reserve where medlar, bird cherry and ash grow. In the spring the ground looks white with wood anemones. Then you take a tour around the Stemerdinkbos. Here and there you walk past Saxon farms. On the Slingeweg you pass a former schoolmaster's house (the Meistershoes). A few meters away there is a replica of the school pump on the square. Finally, you will come across Den Schooten Estate.
